chains of dimensions Explanation: sorry for the delay in getting back in touch. "chains of dimensions" is absolutely correct. I imagine what this part of the text is referring to is the aspects of car design in which the design teams must be familiar. If these teams are working with design software packages such as AutoCAD, or ArchiCAD, for example, then "chain of dimensions" is a term associated with dimensioning.
