Satellite TV package/offering Explanation: This is off the top of my head. I know numérique means "digital", but right now bouquets numériques apply to Canal Satellite and TPS, which are only offered via satellite (if think you may be able to get just Canal Plus by itself via cable, but then you don't get the whole package or bouquet). Hope this helps a teeny weeny bit. Val Franc-Houge |

package of (satellite) TV channels or package of telecommunications services Explanation: Pay TV: Encrypted TV programs, which can only be accessed by subscribers, using entitled smart cards of the broadcasters. Generally Pay TV is distinguished into two categories: 1. Pay per Channel Customers subscribe on a monthly basis a package of TV channels. 2. Pay Per View Customers pay for viewing one single movie or, e.g. sports event which is selected individually from the TV channels. The smart card registers the access to the program in order to charge the customer for the selected service. digital TV offering Explanation: Careful. "Digital" or "numérique" does not mean "satellite". Digital programmes may be broadcast through satellite, cable or terrestrial transponders. Cheers, Béa |
