French to English translations [PRO] Telecom(munications) / call centre specifications | | French term or phrase: chef assistant / chef des assistants | I'm in a bit of quandary on how to translate this - both terms refer to the same person. At first I translated it as Assistant Manager, but then I had my doubts when I came to "chef des assistants". I now changed it to "chief assistant", but I'm still not convinced. Here are a couple of places where this appears:

| | agent supervisor/senior agent supervisor | Explanation: Hi, I am guessing this a call-centre type of environment. The "assistants" are the front line staff, agents etc taking calls and then escalating them to the team leader for resolution when there is a problem. In this structure (Gateway) where I worked once, had a senior team leader to whom the first line team leader reported.
Agent supervisor, or senior agent supervisor -might cover the term "assistant" if you have consistently translated this as "agent". |
