Refers to the phenomenon whereby people are increasingly using one phone as both a fixed line and a mobile. In the UK, BT have been offering this for some time and FT/Orange are now pushing similar services in France. You usually have a single handset which automatically acts as a fixed line home phone when you're at home, and as a mobile when you're not. |
