French term or phrase: code TAC dit « durci »
From mobile phone terms and conditions
I've worked out that TAC = transaction authorisation code, but not sure about the "durci"
any ideas
Whole phrase: "Le MVNO s'engage à systématiquement:
...
vérifier et ne traiter que les terminaux possédant un code TAC dit « durci » selon les indications portées dans la liste transmise selon les modalités décrites dans les Conditions Générales Catégorielles"
hardened? intensified?

Fixed
Explanation:
As in "hardwired" or "permanent".
I think TAC is "type approval code" (see link, Wiki etc.). In the link below, it talks about TACs being allocated to eqpt for testing purposes, which are then reallocated once the test eqpt is destroyed. I would guess that these codes become "durci" once they're allocated to eqpt that's made available commercially.
P.S. My confidence level is medium.......ish!

Test IMEIs

BABT allocates Test IMEIs to allow manufacturers to test prototype mobiles live on a network without previously having obtained regulatory approval (i.e. the mobiles are fully under the control of the manufacturer). They may be single prototype units or a limited pre-production run (for example, the manufacturer may wish to demonstrate a mobile at an exhibition or do some field trials).
...Once testing is complete the old test products must be destroyed so that the serial numbers can be reused.

Explanation:
I would say enforced, meaning that all transaction that has not that authorization will not go through the system

agree  rkillings: It's now "Type Allocation Code". I think they may mean simply a "hardware TAC", not emulated by software.

Its going to be difficult to translate it other than in simple terms IMO

It is simply a second layer of verification after a simple password
