Bus/Financial - Telecom(munications)
French term or phrase: à l'heure espagnole
Context: an auto maker's annual report on the status of its internal IT and telecom projects. This passage is about how the IT/telecom division supported the launch of a new model.

Passage:
"[Model] à l'heure espagnole
"[Model], dernière née [Maker], a bénéficié d'un accompagnement très fort au lancement de sa fabrication sur le site de Valladolid en Espagne."

Is it as simple as "[Model] on Spanish time"?

Explanation:
Anything goes, I think, given that what a French reader understands (possibly) by "l'heure espagnole" is untranslatable: it is the name of an opera by Ravel, the English title of which, "The Spanish Hour", is meaningless even to the British, other, possibly, than opera buffs.

That said, I don't know how many French people know the opera, or if the expression goes back further than Ravel's opera.
