French term or phrase:bandes triangles rehaussées.
In the details of the finish of a jacket I have
Finitions subtiles : bandes triangles rehaussées.
I have found tristrips (?) but really have no idea what to call them. thanks for any help on this.
Explanation: I have some serious doubts about the original text. Most of the web sites that use the phrase bandes triangles have a comma between the two words. As for the idea of tristrips, that appears to be referring to the use of triangle strips in computer graphics, not finishing details on clothing. I suggest you contact your client for more information (such as a picture of the garment). Note that in my interpretation, these triangles would be triangles (of some type of textile material) applied to the garment (like the stripes on the jacket in my first references), as opposed to triangles drawn or printed on the fabric (like those on the Vera wool scarf).

Christine, I'm glad that you were able to get a picture. Just for your information, I'm going to point out that there is a quilting finish, which is sometimes used on garments, called prairie points (with shark's teeth as a named variation). Prairie points are pieces of cloth that have been folded into a triangle and sewn onto a quilt or garment as decoration. You can see the instructions with schemata for prairie points at About.com: Quilting.

The updates to the menu were made to make the site easy and more intuitive for visitors. Obviously, like any change, this may take a few days to get used to.
The dropdown menus have been divided into two-dimensional panels with similar items grouped together under headings. This eliminates scrolling for those with smaller screens, and also improves readability.
Mouseover your name at the top of the screen. Here you will find information about your account, your email settings, and more. The "My ProZ.com" menu was moved up here to simplify the main navigation, and to keep all of this type of information together.
