French term or phrase: fourchettes à potence
Technical description document of work-combat gloves for the French army:

Le corps du gant qui comprend:
Le pouce ricochet
Les fourchettes à potence
La bandelette

I have translated "fourchettes" throughout as fourchettes, the bits that join the fingers. But I have no clue what "à potence" could mean.

reinforced webbed fingers

Explanation:
a glove similar to a boxing glove, a mitten, or a motocross glove where you can place each finger individually inside the glove but you must move all four fingers at the same time, and not move individually as in a standard glove

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for your answer, but I know it´s not referring to the fingers themselves, but rather the pieces that are put between the fingers, which are called fourchettes even in English. I don´t think there´s any reason to believe they are webbed either, as I´ve come across that translated as something else.
