French term or phrase: Capuche de sortie

In a description of a range of clothing. Context: "La silhouette graphique est assumée : les couleurs s’entrechoquent, les lignes accentuées, les **capuches de sortie**. Angora, laine et taffetas se disputent la vedette quand elles ne finissent pas par se mélanger." I realise that it's a hood, but why "de sortie"? Does it just mean an outdoor hood? Any help gratefully received!
