Hello,

Could anyone advise on the abbreviation "OPC"? The context is a list of people who will attend a travel trade fair, including "OPC, Incentive Houses, Meeting Planners, Decision Makers, Responsables Marketings et Communication, Travel Managers."

It's for a business tourism newsletter.

As half the list is already in English, I'm not even sure if "OPC" is an English or French abbreviation.

The only translation I can find is "Collective Investment Group," but that doesn't seem quite right here.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

• Les OPC (Organisateurs Professionnels de Congrès) : si, en principe les agences de voyages ont été les premières à répondre à la demande des services touristiques des congrès et grands événements, la nécessaire spécialisation professionnelle qu’exige le marché, a évolué et le fait que les agences traditionnelles ne le couvrent pas totalement comme c’est le cas de l'organisation du secrétariat scientifique et technique…tout cela a été comme un premier pas pour l'apparition d'une nouvelle spécialité touristique, qui est l’Organisateur Professionnel de Congrès (OPC).
