or is this the scenario for shooting it? If it has been produced, it may well have a Spider of one brand or another, so maybe you should keep the word. If it's just the scenario - which I suspect it is - you can probably go for "two-seater convertible (high-class)" where "high-class" is an indication to the clip producer that the don't want some rats-hit Mazda. Otherwise "two-seater soft-top" or even "ragtop" for the afficionados might not yet be old-hat (oh the days of my youth and the Austin Healey ...).

I agree with Matthew that "spider" is probably less well-known to Anglophones. However, this kind of dropping in of an "exclusive" term or name is typical of luxury marketing, directed at those "in the know" and might be just what's needed here. I'd risk keeping it.



A glance at my Calatrava (ha ha: Patek Philippe - I wish!!!) tells me it's past my bedtime: 'night all! =)

Thanks to Alison MacG we now know what a spider is - I think "luxury convertible" or something like that would be a good approximation. But I'm still not sure what's going on here. Could you give us some more context? Is the customer driving or being driven to a mountain resort in a convertible? What does it say before and after this?

It's a video (publicity clip). But it could well refer to a car, as Kashew suggests.
