French term or phrase: une balinaise
"Piscine avec une balinaise pour la détente, jacuzzi sous les palmiers, terrasse"

from a brochure for a French naturist resort in Cap d'Agde, seeking UK english, but I have no idea what a Balinaise is, and can't find it anywhere on the web...?!

anyone heard of this?

Much appreciated!

Explanation:
It's a style of pool, referred to as either "balinese pool" or "balinese style pool." See photos in the referenced Google URLs below.

Here, the adjective serves as the noun, much the same way as "Française" means French woman. It's common to use just the adjective when the noun is understood.

As for the pools in the photos being different, sure there are different shapes, but I think it's the usage of the pool, rather than it's shape, that qualifies it as a balinese. As the text says, it's "une balinaise pour la détente," and if you look at the pictures again, the one unifying factor is that they all have surroundings and accoutrements that create an atmosphere of relaxation. Therefore, a balainese style pool is one used simply to relax in, as opposed to a simple "piscine" used for swimming, etc.

Finally, it's not uncommon for a resort, especially an upscale resort, to offer two swimming pools, especially, as here, they serve different purposes.

Balinese shower

Explanation:
This is just a guess, but the fact that this accompanies an outdoor pool, maybe this could be a Balinese shower?

A l''extérieur palmiers, bananiers et plantes tropicales entourent une agréable piscine à débordement entourée de pierres de marbre blanc. Une douche balinaise et des lanternes apporte une note d''exotisme supplémentaire.
