French term or phrase: écoulement
Not sure how best to translate "écoulement" here. This is from a Logistics contract:

Ces prix ne sont pas modifiés par les flux tant que les moyens disponibles permettent leur écoulement.

I confirm that "leur" definitely refer back to "les flux".

Notes to answerer
Asker: As far as I can tell, the "leur" does refer back to "les flux". The previous line, which is separate from this one, is: "Les prix seront revus pour la première fois courant juin 2009, pour application au 1er Août 2009."

neutral  Tony M: But 'selling off' conveys something of the notion of 'brader', and I don't think that is intended here, where the usage seem to me to be a lot more neutral?

neutral  ormiston: agree with Tony that all depends on what the flow is, nice continued metaphor in French but you can't sell off flows. Might be the idea of 'running through smoothly' but will need clarification

neutral  polyglot45: I suspect "flux" here refers to quantities of products sold and that prices won't be affected by such volumes as long as there are enough resources to keep supplies flowing.

agree  xxxBourth: allow them to be sold/disposed of. I think there is a faint notion of "selling off", but maybe unintentional.

throughput

Explanation:
Prices do not vary with the (magnitude of the) flows so long as available resources can handle the throughput.

agree  Tony M: Yes, that's the way I read it too. Could well be "prices will not vary with the volume, so long as the available resources can cope with throughput" (i.e. we don't need to invest in more plant to handle it)

delivery

Explanation:
The problem is that écoulement has no direct translation in Engish. So a word is needed to express the idea of product movement from supplier to client. I proposes "delivery". The sentence would thus read: These prices are not changed in accordance with volumes as long as the available resources permit delivery.

neutral  Tony M: But that leads to ambiguity, since it then sounds like "have lorry, can deliver"
