Explanation:
Suggested as a possible translation for "chef de manoeuvre" (no "la" in between). But it seems to me "chef de manouvre" is more widely acknowledged than "chef de LA manoeuvre".

I suppose it is the same, e.g. freight trains may be loaded/unloaded by cranes.
