I'm looking for help on a term in a public transportation document that I suspect is not used correctly here or is internal company language.
Here's the term in the sentence as well as the sentence beforehand:

Couponnement in French brings up very little hits when searching. There are distinct rail terms such as "coupon" meaning rail section and "couponnage", meaning: Mise en place d'un rail de longueur inférieure à la longueur du rail élémentaire.
But here, as I understand it, they seem to be talking about moving a specific device that separates the electrical zones into two different zones, and therefore changing the definition of the zones by doing so.
