I'm not 100% sure whether I agree with the previously chosen answer (it might be OK), but the French explains that it means "palettes, rolls etc".

  -> Palette is the French for pallet. //There's no need to be sarcastic. You implied that I'd made a spelling mistake, and I hadn't. My reference was to a French text.
