I regularly do logistics/distribution center work and "poste" is used to talk about entries in the "order book", sometimes known as "order items".
I would definitely say "orders" in this context as we are not in a financial/accounting situation here.

If this is a heading for a graph showing changes over time...I would just say something like \"2002 (or whatever the time period) gross customer orders\".
