not English, but French

It sounds like the French word "beaucoup", which means "much"/"a lot of"

It is French, nonetheless, it simply means "much". In Farsi, it translates to 'khayli'.

The etymologic background for this word is interessant (!!): 'khayl' means "army", where 'khayli' means "like an army" (because armies are usually big).

Hope this helps.
