Da Kehlnaht der Fachausdruck ist, würde ich bei solchen Vorgaben (Patent) in etwa so übersetzen:
Die Teile werden so gefügt, dass eine Kehlung (Kehle, ...) entsteht.
Das Verfahren eignet sich zum Schweißen von Teilen, die über eine Kehlung gefügt werden. |

Asker: Die Übersetzung von "soudure à clin" als "Kehlnaht" hatte ich auch gefunden. Mir geht es jedoch um die möglichst wortgetreue Übersetzung (Patentsprache) nur von "à clin" in diesem Kontext.
