Ein "pôle de commutation" ist ein Wendepol . (Da, wo die Lokomotiven drehen)
Also pôle d'échange könnte auch so ausgelegt werden....
Das Wort "Station" ist eigentlich die Haltestelle; denn Bahnhof ist ja "la gare".
