Leider bin ich hier nicht so ganz bewandert. Sowohl "Chars à voile" und "speed-sails" hätte ich mit "Strandsegler" übersetzt, vermute aber, dass es hier einen Unterschied geben muss.

Asker: Gegoogelt habe ich natürlich. Im französischen Wikipedia sind unter "speed-sail" eindeutig Strandegler abgebildet (s. http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_sail). Daher gehe ich davon aus, dass der französische Begriff "speed-sail" eben nicht mit "Speedsailing" gleichzusetzen ist.
Asker: "Strandsegler" muss es natürlich heißen.
