Abgesehen vom typischen Confit, bei dem Fleisch verarbeitet wird, ist z. B. in Spanien diese Garmethode sehr üblich und entspricht dieser hier:
Slow braised product, marinated and cooked in olive oil and spices.

Ich schlage 'confiert' vor, also die verbale Form, weil die substantivierte Variante meiner Ansicht nach typischerweise mit Fleisch in Verbindung gebracht wird, vor allem Geflügel.
