"Il se saouler et prenait des coléres terribles. Il ne pensait qu'à se pqyer les petites filles. Il donnait des ordres aussitot suivis de contrordres." Εφόσον προκειται για πολέμαρχο εν καιρώ πολέμου, δεν είναι ξεκάθαρο αν αγόραζει ή με ποιό τρόπο προσφέρει στον εαυτό του τα κοριτσάκια. Αν και το " προσφέρω" δε μου αρέσει ιδιαίτερα. Θα είμαι ευγνώμων για κάθε ιδέα!

To "se payer" στα γαλλικά δεν έχει καθόλου την έννοια του "πληρώνω" αλλά την έννοια του "προσφέρω στον εαυτό μου" (μια ευχαρίστηση, πχ) ή του "κοροϊδεύω" (Tu te paies ma tronche? = με δουλεύεις). Στην προκειμένη περίπτωση, ο πολέμαρχος δεν ήθελε παρά να "καμακώνει" τα κοριτσάκια και να πηγαίνει μαζί τους (μα που έχεις μπλέξει κι εσύ!!!???)
