Le derme

Les fibroblastes, « cellules usines » qui synthétisent 4 types de macromolécules : le collagène et l’élastine qui constituent les protéines fibreuses, et les ***protéoglycanes*** et glycoprotéines de structure qui forment la substance fondamentale.

• La substance fondamentale
Elle comble les interstices entre les cellules et les fibres du
derme. Ce sont des polysaccharides (plusieurs molécules
de sucres scellées entre elles) plus ou moins liés à des
protéines :
- les protéoglycanes sont de grosses molécules
hygroscopiques (comme l’acide hyaluronique) qui assurent
l’hydratation du derme. En fixant l’eau, elles forment un gel
aqueux qui participe à l’élasticité du derme.
- les glycoprotéines de structure permettent
l’organisation et le positionnement des fibroblastes
au sein de la trame fibreuse.
