Egy vállalat szervezeti reformjáról szóló szöveget fordítok, ahol a fogalommeghatározások között jelenik meg a "commodités":
Commodités (appelées également familles d’achats) : ensemble d’achats de même nature (la matière première et les composants issus de cette matière première) qui sont alignés sur l’organisation du marché fournisseur. Ainsi, l’acier et les produits dérivés de l’acier (forge, découpe….) forment une commodité « acier et transformations ».

Explanation:
Dans le monde des affaires anglosaxones, le mot commodity est couramment utilisé pour désigner un bien de consommation industriel ou individuel (une matière première) disponible en grande quantité et pouvant provenir de nombreux fournisseurs différents......

Le sens anglophone du mot est mal compris et donc souvent traduit en français par le barbarisme commodité. La traduction la plus naturelle serait matière première, mais ne reflête pas le fait que certains de ces produits sont le fruit d'opérations de transformations de haute technologie, donc éloignés du concept originel de matière première....
