Per esempio:
Il capitale di esercizio (CE) serve per valutare il rischio di fallimento e per capire se l'impresa possa far fronte ai propri impegni. Può essere calcolato in due modi:
CE = attivi a meno di un anno - debiti a meno di un anno
oppure:
CE = capitali permanenti - attivi a più di un anno
Esso serve ad indicare in quale misura le risorse che finanziano gli attivi restino a disposizione dell'impresa per un periodo la cui durata è almeno pari a quella dell'attivo finanziato.
