Secondo questa ipotesi la tecnologia della Cupola non risponderebbe affatto, nemmeno nelle strutture interne, ad una cupola di rotazione; i mattoni a spinapesce non sarebbero apparecchiati secondo "corsi circolari", ma "paralleli" alle superfici delle vele
