comunque se guardi la maniera con cui 'expresssion transcendée' è utilizzata in francese vedrai che corrispondono all'uso italiano di 'espressione trasfigurata'

I Vangeli non parlano di un incontro fra Gesù e San Giovannino, il cuginetto di pochi anni più grande, ma ne parlano le vite del Battista diffuse nel Medioevo. In questo tondo di marmo (diametro 51 centimetri), Desiderio affianca i due bambini dall'espressione "trasfigurata": tutti e due hanno la bocca aperta e il gesto della mano del Gesù appoggiata sulla pelle di cammello già indossata dal Battista, sembra quasi una trasmissione di missione mentre San Giovannino sembra quasi chiedere una conferma (Proprio io?), all'essere stato scelto come precursore di Cristo.

Ma in che modo il volto della Madonna si trasforma? In che modo ho visto io stesso la suaespressione trasfigurata? Eppure mi ci ero avvicinato con l’occhio dell’investigatore delle scienzenaturali, sebbene non sappia fino a che punto possa esserne sicuro.
