Non ho capito bene se siano studenti universitari o di corsi post laurea
Nel testo si dice che hanno accesso immediato alle collezioni di un museo.

La maîtrise corrisponde al quarto anno di università, che è strutturata in DEUG (biennio), Licence (terzo anno) e Maîtrise (quarto anno), in seguito si può accedere ai corsi post-laurea per cui secondo me la traduzione più adatta è questa.

La thèse corrisponde al dottorato, quindi un corso post-laurea, mentre la maîtrise è l'ultimo anno del corso di laurea vero e proprio, quindi dipende da cosa dice esattamente il testo originale ?!?!

se il testo originale specifica studenti maîtrise / thèse io allora specificherei, evidentemente non tutti gli studenti universitari hanno facilitazioni per entrare in questo museo !!

Explanation:
Sono gli studenti del quarto anno universitario, che stanno per conseguire la laurea (però da qualche anno i diplomi universitari sono cambiati, la" maîtrise" è stata soppressa).

Explanation:
La maîtrise è un corso BAC +4...secondo me sono quindi studenti che stanno seguendo il primo anno della laurea specialistica oppure che stanno seguendo un master di primo livello..(ovviamente mi riferisco alla francia, poi non sò se per gli altri paesi è diverso!)

Dato che la riforma di Bologna viene applicata anche in Francia, penso che sia più corretto fare la differenza fra studenti che seguono un corso du laurea triennale ed uno specialistico/master

se ti può essere utile per capire meglio, qui ci sono tutte le spiegazioni dei titoli francesi. La maîtrise come ha detto giustamente Orne82 è stata soppressa..

"La maîtrise est appelée à disparaître, ou tout au moins à voir son importance réduite en raison de la réforme LMD (licence-master-doctorat), ou « 3-5-8 » : pour faciliter les échanges inter-européens, les diplômes principaux sont désormais délivrés après la 3e (licence), la 5e (DEA-DESS, master) et au moins la 8e année (doctorat) d'étude.

Elle s'obtient après quatre ans d'études universitaires, et remise d'un travail de recherche suivie d'une soutenance à l'oral dans la majorité des spécialités."
