Il colore di fard "bois de rose" corrisponde al nostro "rosa antico". Lo dico con certezza perché lo uso da una vita lol E' tenue, delicato, perfetto per le pelli chiare e fa "bonne mine" ;-)

in ebenisteria, corrisponde al palissandro indiano (ma detto spesso anche legno di rosa), in cosmetologia è un'altra pianta e si usa la dicitura "legno di rosa"

Bois de rose Bois précieux, de texture compacte, obtenu à partir de certaines plantes tropicales, notamment brésiliennes. Au moment de la coupe, il présente une teinte jaune pâle qui s'assombrit au cours du séchage pour devenir rosée. En raison des effets chromatiques raffinés qu'il permet d'obtenir, il fut très employé par les ébénistes français et anglais, particulièrement aux XVIII' et XIX' siècles
