Ho appena tradotto una documentazione da EN > IT su un impianto a LED. Ti posso quindi assicurare che luminaire, anche in inglese, si rende con apparecchio (vedi qui sotto la doppia visualizzazione FR-IT di eurlex).
Nella mia traduzione si parlava spesso di circuiti di pilotaggio (drivers).
Io opterei per apparecchio di pilotaggio, dal momento che nel tuo stesso contesto si parla di cavetteria dell'impianto illuminotecnico.
