Sul sito ufficiale del produttore il nome di tale affarino è tradotto in inglese con "electric heater" e in italiano con "scaldino elettrico". Mi convince poco e nulla, non è uno "scaldino" casalingo (ma poi, si chiamano propriamente così?) tantomeno un fornello o una stufa, bensì un aggeggio professionale del genere:

Come tradurreste "réchaud"? IATE suggerisce "piastra scaldante" ma non trovo granché nemmeno così.

Explanation:
Quando in dubbio, io suggerisco sempre di inserire 'dispositivo' e poi un termine che ne descriva la funzione... in questo modo di sicuro non sbagli :-)

Qui vedi un apparecchio identico, servono per le prove http://www.fisica.uniud.it/irdis/TermologiaMAD/T2.HTM
In questo sito lo chiamano genericamente "riscaldatore elettrico" ma essendoci modelli di riscaldatori x laboratorio che sono ad immersione ecc. (secondo la misura da fare o il materiale da sottoporre a prova) trovo che precisare "piastra" sia necessario e molto chiaro
