Votre date d’effet peut être repoussée jusqu à 6 mois ! D’autres part, si vous souscrivez à la CFE et à une mutuelle complémentaire, vous aurez deux interlocuteurs, ce qui ne facilite pas d’une part les délais de remboursement et d’autre part l’éclaircissement des litiges. Toutes les assurances pour les français de l’étranger proposent une deuxième solution dite « Au premier Euro ».
Dans ce cas la mutuelle prendra en charge vos frais dés le premier euro dépensé,

Les assurances « au premier euro »

Pour les personnes qui ne bénéficient pas de la sécurité sociale ou qui ne souhaitent pas souscrire à l’assurance de la CFE, il existe des assurances privées proposant une couverture santé dîtes « au premier euro ». Pratique, elles font office à la fois de sécurité sociale et de mutuelle : chaque euro dépensé est ainsi remboursé. Cependant, l’inconvénient de cette formule est qu’elle complique les démarches pour faire reconnaître par la suite le temps passé à l’étranger.
