anticipe alors clairement la domination sans cesse croissante des sociétés artistiques, ****elles
qui allaient vite abandonner le public tout au bout de la chaine de réception ****"
Sono insicuro su come tradurre la frase tra asterischi....
secondo me "elles" si potrebbe anche omettere "....delle società artistiche, che avrebbero presto abbandonato
il pubblico "

Ci ho dovuto girare un po' intorno... Alla fine mi è venuta una cosa del genere:
"... avrebbero di lì a poco assegnato al pubblico il mero ruolo di ultimo fruitore della produzione artistica".
Ho pensato anche ad "affibbiato" al posto di "assegnato", in tal modo si dà una connotazione ancor più negativa al resto della frase. Non so se però è troppo collloquiale...
