French term or phrase: on reçoit des feuilles

Le brouillard descend par couche, toujours plus épais. Par-dessus les clotures, on reçoit des feuilles, des gouttes d'eau et les bruits des arbres, aussi de tout petits accords de piano; tout à coup, on est si malheureux que la gorge fait mal.

Le foglie e le gocce d'acqua, trasportate dal vento, cadono probabilmente fisicamente addosso al personaggio, mentre le sensazioni uditive, cioè il fruscio degli alberi e le note di pianoforte, gli giungono all'orecchio. La difficoltà era nel rendere la frase con un verbo che comprendesse tutte le sensazioni.
