Na początku przez "mirador" określano oszklone balkony w północnej Hiszpanii, później nazywano tak górne fragmenty architekturalne(belvédères) w posiadłościach kolonialnych hiszpańskich w Manilii i Ameryce Południowej. Tyle papierowy słownik" Bordas" wnosi do sprawy. Dlatego myślę, że chodzi o taras z widokiem panoramicznym i oszklony/przeszklony
