To zapewne skrót myślowy, bo słowo 'pan' oznacza 'bok' a bok nie może byc sześcioboczny. Tym bardziej, że chodzi o narzędzie, inne niż śrubokręt, o sześciu bokach, do ZAMOCOWANIA rolki. Innej opcji nie widzę.
