PK/PR =Point Kilomètrique/Point Repère
PK est le Point Kilomètrique. Il indique un point sur la route à partir d'un point repère de départ. Ainsi sur la route tous les kilomètres se trouve une borne ou un petit panneau indiquant le point kilomètrique à partir du point kilométrique zéro de la-dite route. La difficulté de maintenir la distance exacte de 1 km entre deux PK suite à des travaux ou déviations sur les routes ont conduit à un renommage des PK en PR. Le PR est un Point Repère, équivalent au PK à la différence près qu'il n'y a pas forcément 1 km exactement entre deux PR.
par exemple dans la description du radar suivant :
N9 à PEYRIAC-DE-MER (PR 23+280), sens Narbonne vers Perpignan, 90 km/h, avant
Le radar est situé au point repère 23+280, c'est à dire 280 mètres après le point repère 23, lui même visible grâce aux bornes kilométriques le long de la route en question (N9). De plus le radar flashe l'avant des véhicules.

Pikietaż (kilometraż, kilometracja) – określenie miejsca na drodze lub linii kolejowej poprzez podanie odległości od jej początku. Odległość tę na ogół podaje się z dokładnością do 1 metra w formacie (km) xx+yyy lub xx,yyy (km), gdzie:
* xx - całkowita liczba kilometrów od początku drogi lub linii kolejowej;
* yyy - całkowita liczba metrów liczona od ostatniego pełnego kilometra.
Na drogach i liniach kolejowych kilomatraż jest podawany na słupkach rozmieszczonych na ogół co 100 metrów. |
