ооps...Я исходила из то, что nitraté -это азотнокислый, а ртуть азотнокислая часто используется при золочении.

-Для лучшего приставания золота после очистки вещи подортучивают погружением в раствор азотнокислой ртути, потом промывают в воде, после чего уже погружают в ванну золочения.
Но возможно, Вы правы, и лучше оставить общую картину.
золочение азотнокислыми солями через огонь... или золочение через огонь с использованием азотнокислых солей.

Asker: Спасибо, Vyasna! Все-таки не очень понятно, почему Вы выбрали в качестве эквивалента термин со словом "ртуть", тогда как в моем термине слово "mercure" отсутствует, и при этом не упомянули слово "нитрирование", тогда как слово "nitratée" в моем термине есть.
