I have found the following definition in Le Petit Robert.

Opération par laquelle on remplit
de jus chaud les boîtes de conserves contenant des légumes ou des fruits.

This term comes from juter which in Spanish means means dar jugo.

And in the Boletín Oficial de Navarra Número 101 fecha 24/8/1998 I have come up with this:
