French to Spanish translations [PRO]
Cooking / Culinary | | French term or phrase: canette de barbarie | En un programa de cocina, un chef muy conocido va a cocinar un Pato a la Naranja.
Cuando empieza a preparar el plato dice:
"Je prends une petite **canette de barbarie.** C'est un petit 2 kg. Et je vais la faire déjà rôtir au four, ensuite on va préparer les légumes".
Al decir "canette de barbarie" se refiere al pato. En Internet encontré esta explicación:
Parmi les canards on distingue :
Le canard de barbarie : Appellation du mâle élevé pour la chair et abattu à un âge minimum de 77 jours.
Le canard de barbarie gras : Appellation du mâle barbarie gavé de façon à produire l’hypertrophie cellulaire graisseuse du foie.
La **canette de barbarie** : Appellation de la femelle barbarie élevée pour la chair et abattue à un âge minimum de 63 jours.
Pour un canard (mâle ou femelle) de plus de 18 semaines, l’appellation doit être l’une des suivantes :
Canard à bouillir, Canard à braiser, Canard reproducteur, Canard de réforme.
