Explanation:
Yo en principio lo traduciría como "con distinción", pues es lo mejor para "no pillarse los dedos".

De todos modos, recuerdo mi etapa de estudiante en Bélgica y las posteriores convalidaciones en España. "Avec distinction" equivalía a un notable; "grande distinction", a sobresaliente; y "la plus grande distinction", a matrícula de honor. Te lo indico por si deseas encontrar el "equivalente funcional" español...

En efecto, lo he comprobado. Por si te sirve de orientación, la distinction se otorgaba a partir de 14/20; la grande distinction, con 16/20; y la plus grande distinction, a partir del 18/20.
