Ici est racontée la légende du Saint Voult de Lucques qui se trouve en l’église-cathédrale Saint-Martin de Lucques. C’est l’histoire de la révélation, de la confection, de l’avènement glorieux du Saint Voult en la dite cité de Lucques. Et premièrement, comment un ange apparut à Nicodème, un pieux fidèle, aimable à Dieu, alors qu’il ensevelissait avec Joseph d’Arimathie le précieux corps de Notre-Seigneur Jésus-Christ, après que celui-ci eût été déposé de la Croix.
