na | Árd na Gréine = 'high place of the sun' |
|
Árd na Gréine = 'high place of the sun' Explanation: This is more an appproximation to what it would be like in Irish (can't guarantee it though) Ard means 'high place' Gréine means 'sun' Literally -' high place of the sun' It's a very popular house name, see this page: http://www.google.com/search?hl=es&safe=off&q=rd no grine&btnG... Ard is very common in place names too - e.g. Ardnafinnan, Fethard are places near my home town (the latter means high wood - fíodh árd) |
