imate definicije mreža koje su kod nas u uporabi. Nažalost, ništa od toga ne liči na 'sieve netting'.

Ipak je obrnuto - sitna riba je ulov, a neželjeni ulov može izići van:
"Sieve nets (also known as veil nets) are cone shaped nets inserted into standard trawls which direct unwanted by-catch
to an escape hole cut into the body of the trawl Figure 1. The target species passes through the meshes of the sieve net
and is retained in the cod end. Such a selectivity device is of value in fisheries where the target species is of a smaller
size than any unwanted by-catch." |

Sieb na njemačkom isto znači sito (sito ima sitne rupice), a ova vrsta ribarske mreže ima sitne otvore, tako da se mogu uloviti rakovi, škampi, sve vrste sitne ribe.
