ifølge Clausens tekniske ordbog...
Jeg kunne forestille mig at "Streu-" betyder, at glassets "slibning/facetter" bryder lyset således at lyskeglen får en større spredning - men det burde vel egentlig altid være tilfældet med billygter!?
PS: Ifølge Clausen er "Streuschirm" = diffuserende skærm - jeg har desværre ikke kunne findet eksempler på "diffuserende lygteglas", selvom det faktisk nogenlunde udtrykker det jeg skrev ovenfor...
