DE UITGANGSPUPIL / UITTREDEPUPIL
De uitgangspupil (ook wel uittredepupil genoemd) wordt gevormd door de lichtbundel die doorheen het objectief naar het oculair gaat. Hij stemt overeen met de diameter van het beeld dat uit het oculair komt en de pupil bereikt. Hij wordt bepaald als volgt : het is de verhouding tussen de objectiefdiameter en de vergroting in mm. Bijv.: Verrekijker 8 X 30, uitgangspupil is 30/8 = 3,75 mm. De menselijke pupil wordt automatisch geregeld. Buiten, bij vol daglicht, is zijn diameter 2 tot 3 mm. Binnen is hij 4 tot 5 mm. In de duisternis is hij maximum 7 mm.
