the system (responsibilities) for posting bank accounts are appropriate/in order/reasonable (anything but "meaningful" please).

Although this appears to be followed by an objection, it does not appear as if the auditor is objecting to the overall system for posting bank transactions, but merely pointing out that discrepancies arise due to the timing difference in posting to the accounts.

Agree with Richard's correction. As to Zuständigkeiten, it is one of those nasty German words that sometimes means far more than the dictionary definition. In this case, the "system" of how responsibilities (i.e. the work) is allocated and processed.

So please change in "in our opinion" to "with some objections"
