tax depreciation run

Explanation:
AfA= Absetzung für Abnutzung = tax depreciation

I'm not too sure about the "Lauf", though - it might be another way of saying "Ablauf", but not in the sense of expiry or termination, but s.th. along the lines of "sequence", "course", "process".

I've just googled for "AfA-Lauf" and it now seems to me like a "run" as in "batch run", i.e. a process that is run on a regular basis for the calculation of tax depreciation.

I hope this helps a bit - cheers from down under.

disagree  Werner George Patels, M.A., C.Tran.(ATIO): Not "deduction", but "depreciation"!!!
2 mins
-> 'Depreciation for depreciation'? I don't think so, sir. :) 'Deduction for depreciation' is the proper term in English, whether your Woywode likes it or not. :)

AfA = tax depreciation (Absetzung für Abnutzung)

Explanation:
I would interpret "Lauf" as meaning "cycle", "period", perhaps even "procedure".

Do you also have the answer to this question from the FAQ catalogue? That might help.
