statutory occupational assessments
Explanation:
I believe the "statutory" is important, because it indicates that the contributions or assessments are dictated by law.

-> No, it is not a tax assessment, but an assessment or contribution to a fund

contributions to a vocational training fund

Explanation:

unterstellten Arbeitnehmer entspricht. Diese Beiträge werden auf
das Konto des paritätischen Fonds überwiesen.

agree  Kieran McCann: seems to be specifically Swiss: 'Der Berufsbeitrag dient dagegen der beruflichen Aus- und Weiterbildung' http://www.zpbk.ch/gav2005.kommentar.htm

neutral  Frauke Schroeder: well, it's not specifically Swiss; this concept is being practised in Switzerland and according to the Lisbon Concept also in other EU countries and the EU has fixed an official term for it.

vocational contribution

Explanation:
Hi,

'vocational contribution is actually the financial term as well as in form of labour that is being contributed. Such term does not exist in UK English, as this scheme does not exist in the UK/ Ireland, so you'll need to footmark it ... it's been practised in Hungary for some time now, and the terminology used is: vocational contribution (in financial terms)

Hope that helps.

Best wishes,

Frauke

'vocational contribution (payment)' ...

It's an actual EU terminology
